Earnhardt Jr. leads Toyota/Save Mart 350 happy hour at Sonoma; Kyle Busch hits rabbit on track

SONOMA, CA – Dale Earnhardt Jr. on Friday led happy hour practice for Sunday's Toyota/Save Mart 350 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Sonoma Raceway with a speed of 95.298 MPH.

Casey Mears was second, followed by Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch.

Michael Annett was slowest at 90.490 MPH.

Martin Truex Jr. had the best ten-consecutive ten-lap average at 92.982 MPH

Greg Biffle ran 31 laps, the most in the session.

The five drivers who will race for four starting spots in qualifying on Saturday will be Cole Whitt, who was 23rd fastest, Ryan Blaney who was 35th, Josh Wise, whop was 36th, Justin Lupton, who was 37th and Cody Ware, who was 40th.

After running one lap, Kyle Busch hit a rabbit on the track which did some damage to the car with the team having to replace the brake duct in the nose of the car. Busch made it back out on the track and ran 16 more laps.
