Scary incident avoided In today's Silverado 250

scary incident in today's NASCAR Camping World 
Truck Series race in Canada.

Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada--- On lap 18 of today's Chevy Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in Ontario, Canada, Daniel Brown's No. 63 Chevrolet for MB Motorsports went off the racing surface and hit a tire barrier.

Worries had come up when Brown's window net hadn't come down for what seemed like an extended period of time.

Eventually, reports would come out that Brown would be treated and released from the infield care center at the track.

CANADA: Today's Trucks Qualifying Notes

Alex Tagliani will start from the Keystone Light pole for the Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, qualifying with a speed of 110.539mph. He would followed by Erik Jones, Matt Crafton, Tyler Reddick, Cole Custer, Ben Kennedy, Cameron Hayley, Gray Gaulding, Johnny Sauter, and Timothy Peters. 

Tyler Reddick was quickest in the opening qualifying session at 110.276 mph.

Jennifer Jo Cobb may face penalization for cell phone in Truck

Camping World Truck Series driver Jennifer Jo Cobb may face a penalty for having a cell phone in her Truck during final practice Saturday at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. 

After crashing into a tire barrier and exiting her Truck, Cobb could be clearly seen on the Fox Sports 1 broadcast reaching back into her Truck and grabbing her cell phone while track workers assisted her to a waiting ambulance. 

 NASCAR officials said Saturday they would review the incident as part of their normal post-race review early next week.

“Smart devices and smartphones and other devices can have an effect on manipulating the technology that is now going to be in the cars, and we have to be careful with that,” NASCAR Chairman Brian France said at the time. “And so that's why our policy is that you're simply not going to be able to take a device into the car with you.”

Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin--- If Ryan Blaney bumping into Paul Menard's rear bumper almost every 2 seconds on the final laps wasn't enough, a win certainly fulfilled Menard's needs.

Menard earned the victory today at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin today after being fastest in one of yesterday's practice sessions for this race.
