Preseason Thunder: Testing at Daytona

                                        by Nick Stodal

Since Friday, the Preseason Thunder is on Daytona. They test the new cars for the 2014 Nascar Sprint Cup Series Season. But, what is new?

The car has now a higher Spoiler. Their are also changes on the Splitter and Bumper from the cars. This changes should allows the drivers, to drive harder and to make more passes in the field. On Friday, Austin Dillon was the fastest on Daytona Super Speedway. So maybe we see the 3 car back in Victory Lane? Title defender Jimmie Johnson was 11th and Matt Kenseth was on 19th Place. It is only a test at the moment but maybe it shows us how the next season will be. But yesterday, we saw also a legend on the track. Rusty Wallace climbed back into the car and ran a few laps in Brad Keselowskis No. 2.

In the Nascar Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Seres, they have a new qualifying rule. Nascar will make groups with 4 or 5 drivers and they ran together on the track. In the Nationwide tests, Chase Elliot had the fastest time in the Saturday p.m. test. Bill Elliot was 2nd and Regan Smith 3rd. I think the new rules in both series will give us a more exciting race and more drafts and passes. So let's start this new season and Boogity Boogity Boogity race fans.
