By The Numbers: The Wood Brothers and Ryan Blaney

Take a look at the numbers behind Ryan Blaney's first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series win and the 99th victory for Wood Brothers Racing on June 11, 2017, at Pocono Raceway.

1 – This season marks the first-time Wood Brothers Racing has locked themselves into the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs with a victory in the regular season.

5 – Wood Brothers Racing has won the Daytona 500 five-times with five different drivers – Trevor Bayne (2011), David Pearson (1976), A.J. Foyt (1972), Cale Yarborough (1968) and Tiny Lund (1963).

7 – Ryan Blaney becomes the seventh-youngest driver to win in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in the Modern Era (since 1972) at the age of 23 years, 5 months and 11 day.  

20 – Ryan Blaney becomes the 20th different driver to win for Wood Brothers Racing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in the No. 21 Ford – David Pearson (43 wins), Cale Yarborough (13), Neil Bonnett (nine), Marvin Panch (eight), A.J. Foyt (four), Dan Gurney (four), Speedy Thompson (two), Buddy Baker, Curtis Turner, Dale Jarrett, Donnie Allison, Glen Wood, Elliott Sadler, Harold Kite, Kyle Petty, Morgan Shepherd, Tim Flock, Tiny Lund, Trevor Bayne and Ryan Blaney (each have one).

68 –
The number of Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts before Ryan Blaney’s first win. In the Modern Era (since 1972) he is ranked 36th on the number of fewest starts before first win list. Trevor Bayne (2011) and Jamie McMurray (2002) hold the record in the Modern Era with just two starts.

99 –
Wood Brothers Racing's number of Monster Energy Cup Series wins – most recent: Pocono Raceway, 2017. 94 of the 99 wins have been in the No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing Ford – the other five were in car numbers #16 (three wins), #41 (one win) and #7 (one win).

122 –
Number of races attempted by the Wood Brothers since they last won in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Last win: 2011 Daytona 500 with driver Trevor Bayne.

1,488 –
Number of starts Wood Brothers Racing has made in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. They are scheduled to hit their 1,500th MENCS race at Chicagoland Speedway this season.
