With about 20 minutes left in Saturday's opening Auto Club 400 practice at Auto Club Speedway, Kurt Busch faced a major issue to his No. 41 Chevy.
Busch's car slammed into the wall.
The car had some damage to the right side of the car. Due to the damage, the team decided to go to a backup car for the remainder of the race weekend.
Carl Edwards was fastest in this session with a speed of 187.906 MPH
