The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series was established in 1995. Since then, it has brought extreme and awesome action to the wonderful sport of NASCAR.
But, the NCTWS season opener is tomorrow at Daytona International Speedway. It is called the Nextera Energy Resources 250.
So here's why you should watch the Truck Series this season.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
1: Matt Crafton: Crafton is coming out of 2014 and into 2015 with his second consecutive NCTWS championship (2013-14). No other driver has done that before. Crafton came into the Truck Series in 2000. He has 5 total career wins in the series since his debut in 2000, 76 career top-5's, and 192 career top-10's.
2: Erik Jones: This young talent has only been in the Truck Series for two seasons (2013-14), 2015 being his third. He was not even full-time in 2014, driving the No. 51 Toyota for Kyle Busch Motorsports. He has four total career wins, seven career top-5's, and thirteen career top-10's
3. The regulars keep up: In the NASCAR XFinity Series, the Sprint Cup Series drivers almost always seem to dominate the races, but not so much in the Truck Series. Very often, the Truck Series regulars keep up with the Cup Series stars, and race them hard, giving Cup Series drivers a run for their money. Often, a Truck Series driver will win the race, but if a Cup driver wins, almost always in that case they were fighting hard with Truck Series regulars for the win.
That is why you should watch the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this season.
