Dakota Armstrong will be making his seventh career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Charlotte Motor Speedway to go along with two prior starts in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of 16th at the Concord, North Carolina track which occurred in both Charlotte events last season.
Armstrong finished 21st in the race earlier this season at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
"We have improved on our 1.5-mile program throughout the year and it is where we want it here lately," Armstrong said. "Hopefully we show that improvement this week in Charlotte and all of the hard work the guys on this JGL Racing team have done.
"We struggled in the spring race in Charlotte but as a group we are much better at this time of the season. I look forward to a strong showing on Friday night."
Mother Nature can sometimes be cruel to the racing world and this was no more evident than this weekend at Dover International Speedway last weekend. In a rare Sunday morning race, Armstrong would recover from an early flat tire on his No. 28 JGL Racing Toyota to come home with a 20th place finish in the rain delayed running of the Drive Sober 200 at the track known as "The Monster Mile".
