Daniel Suarez won Sunday's rain-delayed NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Dover International Speedway, automatically securing his spot in the next round of the NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase.
The 200-lap event was originally slated for Saturday afternoon, but was delayed due to persistent rain. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race will follow for a Sunday doubleheader.
Ty Dillon finished second after starting in the rear, with Justin Allgaier, Ryan Blaney and Alex Bowman rounding out the top five. Of that group, Dillon and Allgaier are in the Chase field.
Sunday's race was the second in the Round of 12 of the NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase.
The XFINITY Series gets back on track with its next race at 8 p.m. ET Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It will be the third and final race of the Round of 12, in which four drivers will be eliminated from the postseason.
