Tyler Reddick wins Truck Series opener at DAYTONA

By Joey Gucciardo

Daytona Beach, Fla- He's only, 19, but Tyler Reddick is making a name for himself.

Tyler Reddick led 46 laps at Daytona International Speedway. Jones led the final 33 laps of the race as part of those 46.

He was on a part-time schedule in 2014 for Brad Keselowski Racing but went full-time for the team this season.

Erik Jones came in second. Scott Lagassee JR. came in second, followed by Truck Series rookie Austin Theriault, then Ray Black JR.

"My truck was fast, I just wish we could've won. Second's always no fun," said Jones, who never led in the race.

A half hour to fourth minutes after the race, Reddick ran into the DAYTONA International Speedway media center and said that he had received over 140 text messages from people he knew.

There were six cautions in the race. The biggest wreck was on lap 49 when Ben Kennedy slowly moved to the outside of the track at the end of the backstretch and caused a chain reaction wreck of 12 cats that involved the reigning champion Matt Crafton.

Congratulations to Tyler Reddick on winning at DAYTONA International Speedway.
