RICHMOND, VA--- With Chase Elliott coming in 2nd place, ending his winning streak, Kevin Harvick has won the ToyotaCare 250.
As soon as Harvick took the lead in the race, he had the win in the bag. On lap 48/250, Harvick passed pole sitter Brian Scott for the lead. Basically, Harvick dominated from there. Harvick led 202 laps.
This finish was the first 1-2 finish for JR. Motorsports. Kevin Harvick commented on Chase Elliott to NASCAR.COM:
"Honestly, Chase is a good kid, and he knows how to drive a race car, he pushes us to be better by trying different things (from what we've been doing) through the years. The groove getting into Turn 1, I had to change my groove tonight and change my car because it was different.
Harvick crossed the finish line 2.069 seconds ahead of Chase Elliott.
