Joliet, Illinois--- Rain has surely been a burden in the opening weekend for the 2015 CHASE for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.

Two big events tis weekend have been rained out. Sprint Cup qualifying, and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race. Qualifying was also rained out for the Truck Series race.

The Truck race has been moved to today, and will be on TV's on FOX Sports 2 starting at 10:30am ET. Kyle Larson won the pole for the race in the JR. Motorsports' No. 00 Chevrolet, and current series points leader Erik Jones will be starting 8th. Matt Crafton, who is also in this year's Truck Series championship hunt, will be starting next to Larson in 2nd place.

As for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Kevin Harvick won the pole award based on Practice #1 speeds for this weekend's Cup Series race.

"First off," Harvick said, "I'm just most proud of my team for having a fast race car and coming to the track and having a plan and doing all the things that they did to pay attention to the weather and put a lot of emphasis on trying to lay a fast lap down, just like everybody else, to get a good starting position with the way that the weather was (looking)."

Ryan Blaney, Travis Kvapil, and Michael McDowell were the drivers that missed the race. Blane missed the race because he did not have the amount qualifying attempts this season that most, so he missed the race after being 9th fastest in opening practice (per rainout rules).
