INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Ross Chastain will drive the Dream Water Chevrolet in one of the Xfinity Series’ biggest races of the season Saturday.
The Lilly Diabetes 250 is scheduled Saturday afternoon at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, one of motorsports’ iconic facilities.
“Just walking into Indy gives me the shivers,” Chastain said. “It has such a great history and has been home to so much great racing over the years. It’s an honor to be able to race there.”
Saturday’s race will be the fifth Xfinity event at IMS. Winners have been Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch (twice) and Ty Dillon.
Practice at the giant IMS track is scheduled at noon and 3 p.m. Friday. Qualifying is set for 11:40 a.m. Saturday.
A pair of 20-lap heats (the first scheduled at 3:30 p.m. Saturday) will set the lineup for the 5:05 p.m. feature.
