A lapped car, that's what.
In the closing laps, Jones was catching cup series regular Brad Keselowski. Jones probably had a great run, but got caught up with a lapped car that Keselowski caught easily. I still have to tip my hat to Jones for still being able to catch up to Keselowski and try to fight for the win. Great job and effort by Erik Jones!
Chris Buescher finished 11th, extending his points lead over 2nd place Chase Elliott to 36 points.
There were 21 green flag passes for the lead. That is the most for a NASCAR XFINITY Series race since the XFINITY Series started racing at Kentucky in 2005, which was the stat's inception.
The win was Keselowski's first victory in the NASCAR XFINITY Series this season.
"It's been a good ride for sure," said Keselowski, who won the jukebox trophy for winning the race. "and to be part of Team Penske is everything I ever dreamed of and more."
