This weekend's Sprint Cup event at Kentucky was scheduled to feature a low-downforce aero package.
Now, a similar package will be ran at Darlington in September of this season.
Indianapolis and Michigan will feature a higher drag aero package for the remaining events at those tracks this season.
KENTUCKY AERO PACKAGE:
Spoiler: Lowered from 6 inches to 3-1/2 inches.
Splitter: EXTENTION PANEL: Shortened from 38 inches to 25 inches. The splitter will have 1-3/4 less overhang than what was previously used this season.
Combined, the aero changes are supposed to lower the downforce by 1,000 pounds.
Teams have a four-hour practice upcoming practice session at Kentucky so that they can get used to the new aero package.
DARLINGTON AERO PACKAGE:
Spoiler: Raised from 3 inches to 3-1/2 inches.
Splitter: Will feature a 1/4 inch leading edge.
INDIANAPOLIS AND MICHIGAN AERO PACKAGE:
Spoiler: Spoiler will be 9 inches.
Wicker Bill: 1-inch Wicker Bill.
Fascia: A rear fascia will be used like in past Superspeedway events.
Splitter: EXTENTION PANEL: 43-inch Extention panel. 2-inch leading edge on Splitter.
No scheduled changes in the aero package is scheduled for Richmond.
