Kenseth wins Cup race as many drivers run out of fuel

Matt Kenseth won today's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at New
Hampshire Motor Speedway.

LOUDON, NEW HAMPSHIRE --- Matt Kenneth won today's race basically coasting across the finish line because he ran out of gas!

Other drivers were not so lucky, like Kevin Harvick, who had been so dominant the whole day. Kurt Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and many others, were not so lucky.

Today, Jeff Gordon managed to break Ricky Rudd's record of most consecutive Sprint Cup starts. Gordon had his 789th-consecutive Sprint Cup start today at New Hampshire.

Basic Stats From Today's Race
Matt Kenseth, the race winner, had a final lap time of 30.729 seconds, a best lap time of 28.666 seconds, a best speed of 132.868 MPH, and a margin of victory of 8.942 seconds over the second-place finisher Denny Hamlin. Kevin Harvick led the most laps today, leading 216. Today's average speed was 105.437 MPH. The final speed, set by Harvick, was 133.614 MPH.
