UNB! NETWORK STAFF REPORT
Last night, Carl Edwards came back from being twonlaps down with a tire miscue to win the Bojangles Southern 500. Edwards managed to add his name to the illustrious list of drivers that have won the crown jewel race.
But what if we told you the No. 19 car only had 5 wins in NASCAR Sprint Cup history, would you believe us?
Edwards has two of those 5 wins. This past weekend's Southern 500, amd the Coca Cola 600 earlier this season.
The #19 had only three other race wins in the entire history of the Sprint Cup Series. In 1960 when John Rostek won at the Arizona State Fairgrounds in Phoenix, and twice with Jeremy Mayfield in 2004 at Richmond and 2005 in Michigan.
