Tire Notes & Facts:

Set Limits:
Sprint Cup: 5 sets for practice/qualifying and 12 sets for the race;
Xfinity: 8 sets for the event;
Camping World Truck: 6 sets for the event
Tire Codes: Left-side -- D-4392; Right-side -- D-4618
Tire Circumference: Left-side -- 87.32 in. (2,218 mm); Right-side -- 88.58 in. (2,250 mm)
Minimum Recommended Inflation:
Left Front -- 23 psi; Left Rear -- 21 psi;
Right Front -- 49 psi; Right Rear -- 45 psi
Notes: Teams in all three NASCAR series in action at Homestead this week will run the same tire set-up. This is the same combination of left- and right-side tires that Sprint Cup and Xfinity teams ran at Homestead last season. Teams in all three series have also run this same tire set-up at Texas and Chicagoland this season. In 2014, Camping World Truck teams ran a different right-side tire at Homestead. This right-side tire (D-4618) employs Goodyear's multi-zone tread technology, which combines two distinct tread compounds on the same tire -- the outside 10 inches of the tread features a compound that is designed for grip, while the inside two inches of the tread is toughened to enhance durability on the part of the tire sees the most heat and takes the most abuse. Goodyear confirmed this tire set-up at a test at Homestead on August 24-25. Drivers participating in that test were Trevor Bayne, Clint Bowyer, Ty Dillon and Kyle Larson. As on all NASCAR ovals one mile or greater in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Homestead. The air pressure in those liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
Goodyear Blimp: Goodyear's "Wingfoot One" will be in the air over Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend. This airship is based out of Pompano Beach, Fla. "Wingfoot One" will provide air coverage for NBC Sports' broadcasts of both the Xfinity race on Saturday and Sprint Cup race on Sunday.
