BRISTOL: Erik Jones wins XFINITY Series pole

BRISTOL, TENN -- Erik Jones on Saturday morning won the 21 Means 21 pole award for Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300.

Jones won the pole with a speed in the final round of qualifying of 125.914 MPH.

Jones was also fastest in the second round of qualifying with a speed of 125.420 MPH.

Starting second will be Austin Dillon, followed by Kyle Larson, Daniel Suarez, and Kyle Busch to round out the Top-5. Following Busch to round out the Top-10 is Joey Logano, Justin Allgaier, Aric Almirola, Brandon Jones and Ty Dillon.

Jeb Burton was fastest in round one with a speed of 125.765 MPH.

EXTRA NOTES:
Top 5 starters in the first heat race: Erik Jones, Kyle Larson, Kyle Busch, Justin Allgaier, and Brandon Jones.
Top 5 starters in the second heat race: Austin Dillon, Daniel Suarez, Joey Logano, Aric Almirola, and Ty Dillon.
-- NOTE: Result of the heat races will determine the lineup for the 200 lap main event.


Did Not Qualify: Morgan Shepherd and Carl Long.
