Brian Vickers led opening practice in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series on Friday for Sunday's STP 500.
Joey Logano had the lead for most of the session, until Kyle Larson took it from Logano, and Vickers eventually took the lead from Larson.
Trevor Bayne hit the wall hard at the end of the session. The damage to Bayne's car seemed worthy of a backup car.
