BRISTOL, TN -- Erik Jones on Friday won the pole for tonight's NASCAR XFINITY Series event, the Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway with a speed of new track record speed of 127.903 MPH. It is his 7th pole of the season.
Kyle Busch will start second. The rest of the top 10 is made up of Daniel Suarez, Brandon Jones, Austin Dillon, Darrell Wallace, Jr., Kyle Larson, Justin Allgaier, Regan Smith, and Ty Dillon.
Timmy Hill was the only driver who failed to qualify.
The first round of qualifying began with light rain at the track, but had to be halted just over 5 minutes in. Qualifying resumed after the track was dried and was completed without any other issues.
