Harvick wins Good Sam 500 Sprint Cup race at Phoenix: Kevin Harvick barely won today's Good Sam 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Phoenix International Raceway.
Harvick won the race by an a hundredth of a second, just barely beating Carl Edwards to the checkered flag.
"I should have wrecked him," Edwards said jokingly after the race.
The finish was the closest in Phoenix International Raceway history in NASCAR.
Denny Hamlin finished 3rd, followed by Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr., who rounded out the Top-5.
Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth, Chase Elliott, Austin Dillon and Ryan Blaney rounded out the Top-10.
"That was not the car I wanted to see behind me," Harvick said after the race in victory lane, referring to the No. 19 Ford of Edwards.

It was a day of firsts in the race. It was the inaugural K&N Mobile 150, and it was Dippel's first ever series victory.
Spencer Davis finished 2nd, followed by Jesse Little, Austin Theriault, and Kaz Grala to round out the Top-5.
Kyle Benjamin, Harrison Burton, Hunter Baize, Justin Haley, and Ronnie Basset Jr. rounded out the Top-10.
