It may not seem like it, but Jimmie Johnson's first full-time season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series was 14 years ago in 2002.
Johnson earned his first-career Sprint Cup victory at Auto Club Speedway that season in the NAPA Auto Parts 500, back when the Auto Club race was 500 miles and not the current 400, and also when Auto Club was called California Speedway.
This weekend, Johnson returns to his home track Auto Club with the hopes of winning once again at his home track.
Johnson has one victory this season, which came at Atlanta in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 on Feb. 28.
