DAYTONA: Sprint Cup Daytona 500 Qualifying Notes

Chase Elliott won the Daytona 500 pole with a speed of 196.314 MPH, his 1st Sprint Cup pole, and the youngest Daytona 500 pole winner. Matt Kenseth will start 2nd in the Daytona 500 running a lap of 196.036 MPH.
