DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (February 11, 2016) – Chase Briscoe the fastest driver at Daytona in Thursday's opening ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards practice for the 2016 Lucas Oil 200. Briscoe, in the No. 77 Cunningham.
Briscoe circled the 2.5-mile Daytona Int’l Speedway in 47.543 seconds, an average speed of 189.302 mph.
Friday's Notes (2/12/2016):
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (February 12, 2016) – On Friday morning, Will Kimmel scrambled to the top of the leader board in final Lucas Oil 200 practice.
Kimmel, in the No. 69 E3 Spark Plugs-SO Contracting-SCCY Chevrolet, circled the 2.5-mile superspeedway in 47.543 seconds, for an average speed of 189.302 mph.
Kimmel's speed was the exact same speed that rookie Chase Briscoe put up as the fastest speed in practice on Thursday.
“This is really a moral win for me and dad (Bill Kimmel, Jr.),” Kimmel said. “It’s been a long three weeks.”
