Duel #1: Dale Earnhardt Jr. reigned supreme in Can-Am Duel #1 on Thursday night.
Earnhardt actually won a Duel race last year, along with his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jimmie Johnson, who won the other.
The big story of this race was Ryan Blaney, who raced his way from being a lap down to finishing in third place.
Joey Logano finished 2nd, Ryan Blaney finished 3rd, Kevin Harvick finished 4th, Denny Hamlin finished 5th, and Chase Elliott, the Daytona 500 polestar finished 6th.
The rest of the running order is as follows: Kasey Kahne, Greg Biffle, Chris Buescher, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Austin Dillon, Trevor Bayne, Brad Keselowski, Michael McDowell, Regan Smith, David Ragan, Josh Wise, Clint Bowyer, Bobby Labonte, Brian Scott, Paul Menard, and Cole Whitt.
Wise and Whitt were unable to qualify for the Daytona 500 based on their finishing positions in Duel #1.
Duel #2: Kyle Busch won the second Can-Am Duel under caution after a wreck late in the race.
David Gilliland and Reed Sorenson missed the Daytona 500 based on their finishing positions in this duel race.
