Kanaan was followed by Carlos Munoz, Scott Dixon, Will Power, Ryan Hunter Reay, Alexander Rossi, JR Hildebrand, Oriol Servia, Townsend Bell and Helio Castreneves to round out the Top-10 in the session.
Kanaan ran 42 laps in the session.
Simon Pagenaud (22nd) and Charlie Kimball (26th) each ran 52 laps, the most in the session.
Buddy Lazier finished last (33rd place) in the session with a speed of 226.280 MPH. He ran 19 laps in the session.
