Kurt Busch leads opening GoBowling 400 practice

Kurt Busch led opening practice for the GoBowling
400 on Friday.
KANSAS CITY, KS - Kurt Busch on Friday led opening practice for Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway, the GoBowling 400.

Busch led the session with a speed of 185.893 MPH.

Martin Truex Jr., came in second, followed by Carl Edwards, Austin Dillon, Trevor Bayne, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Aric Almirola and Matt Kenseth to round out the Top-10 in this session.

Ryan Blaney ran 40 laps, the most in the session. He ended the session in 26th place.

Reed Sorenson finished the session in 40th place (last place) with a best speed of 172.667 MPH.

The average speed in the session was 39.064 MPH. The session lasted 56 minutes and 34 seconds in length. The fastest lap time was 29.049 seconds, which was run by Kurt Busch.

The next practice session for the GoBowling 400, which will be the event's happy hour, will begin at 1:30pm ET. Qualifying for the race will begin at 4:30pm ET.
