Qualifying Notes - Watkins Glen

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series 
- AJ Allmendinger won the Coors Light Pole Award for the 30th Annual Cheez-It 355 at The Glen with a lap of 68.993 seconds, 127.839 mph.
  • This is his fourth pole in 249 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.
  • This is his second pole and fifth top-10 start in 2015.
  • This is his first pole in seven races at Watkins Glen International.
- Martin Truex Jr. (second) posted his 11th top-10 start of 2015 and his fourth in ten races at Watkins Glen International.

- Tony Stewart (third) posted his 13th top-10 start at Watkins Glen International. It is his seventh in 22 races this season.

- Matt DiBenedetto (27th) was the fastest qualifying rookie.

NASCAR XFINITY Series
- Joey Logano won the Coors Light Pole Award for the 21st Annual Zippo 200 at The Glen with a lap of 70.953 seconds, 124.308 mph.
  • This is his 30th pole in 143 NASCAR XFINITY Series races. Logano is now tied for second with Mark Martin on the NASCAR XFINITY Series all-time poles list.
  • This is his fourth pole and seventh top-10 start in 2015.
  • This is his first pole in eight races at Watkins Glen International.
- Brad Keselowski (Qualified 2nd) posted his fifth top-10 start of 2015 and his sixth in seven races at Watkins Glen International.

- Chase Elliott (Qualified 3rd) posted his first top-10 start at Watkins Glen International. It is his ninth in 20 races this season.

- Daniel Suarez (Qualified 12th) was the fastest qualifying rookie.
