Garage Talk: Week of 7/20 - 7/24 UPDATE

UNB! NETWORK STAFF REPORT

Written Warnings In Cup Series After New Hampshire
Five NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams were given written warnings after this past Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The teams include the No. 11 of Denny Hamlin, the No. 15 of Clint Bowyer, and the No. 27 of Paul Menard.

Each team had to make several trips through the inspection line this past weekend.

The No. 21 of Ryan Blaney, and the No. 23 of Reed Sorenson (Sorenson went through the inspection line three times) were the other two teams that failed inspection along with Hamlin, Bowyer, and Menard.

Sprint Cup And XFINITY Running High-Drag Aero Packages For Indy This Weekend
The NASCAR Sprint Cup and XFINITY Series will both be running high-drag aero packages at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend.

NASCAR officials hope that the package will bring more side-by-side racing at the Brickyard track in Indianapolis, Indiana.

"In the end, it's all about that 9-inch spoiler," Dave Wilson, President and General Manager of Toyota Racing Development (TRD) USA, told NASCAR.com. "Everything else about the package is really about balancing the car."

Sprint Cup teams two weekends ago had just ran a new aero package at Kentucky Speedway where of what we had seen, plenty of fans had loved and enjoyed the racing that the package brought to the racetrack in that race.

A similar package to the Sprint Cup Kentucky package is supposedly going to be run at Darlington in the same series this September.
