Indianapolis, Indiana--- He earned the pole earlier today, and he wound up winning the race in the end.
Kyle Busch, who had led in the opening laps, and other parts of the race, went on to win today's Lilly Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Busch had to make a last-lap pass on Ryan Blaney for the win today. Busch led 53 of 100 laps.
Blane took the lead from Busch with about 22 laps to go.
Busch's teammate Daniel Suarez finished 3rd, while Paul Menard finished 4th. Elliott Sadler finished 5th.
Today's Dash 4 Cas winner was Regan Smith. advancing to the third round of the XFINITY Series bonus program, Aug. 21 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Smith also won the first round at Dover International Speedway earlier this season.
