Darrell Wallace Jr. on Friday led opening practice for Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, the Sparks Energy 300.
Wallace led the session with a speed of 192.413 MPH.
Finishing second in the session was Ryan Reed (192.355), who was followed by Ty Dillon (191.827), Matt Tifft (191.670), and Austin Dillon (190.601) to round out the Top-5.
Tifft drove the most laps in the session, completing 24.
Joey Gase was slowest in the session in 43rd place with a speed of 170.539 MPH.
