NASCAR on Wednesday released the following penalties after the past racing weekend at Texas Motor Speedway:
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team of Brad Keselowski car failed laser inspection (LIS) three times in pre-qualifying, while the Sprint Cup Series team of Trevor Bayne: car failed laser inspection three times in pre-race.
Both Keselowski and Bayne were given written warnings and will lose 15 minutes of practice time at Bristol.
The Sprint Cup teams Kyle Busch and David Ragan both failed laser inspection twice in pre-qualifying and teams given written warnings, while the Sprint Cup teams of Austin Dillon and Kyle Larson both failed laser inspection twice in pre-race and teams given written warnings.
In the XFINITY Series, NASCAR has issued written warnings the teams of Ryan Preece, Chase Elliott, and Justin Allgaier following the O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. All three teams failed laser inspection twice during pre-race inspection.
