RICHMOND, Va. – Officials from Rick Ware Racing (RWR) and B.J. McLeod Motorsports (BJMM) officially announced today that former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) champion Travis Kvapil will return to XFINITY Series competition in Saturday afternoon’s ToyotaCare 250 at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway.
Kvapil will pilot the No. 15 Ford Mustang in his first XFINITY Series race since 2009. His much-anticipated series return will be backed by his longtime supporters, CorvetteParts.net and Keen Parts. The Milton, Wisconsin native has 16 starts at RIR in NASCAR’s pinnacle level of Sprint Cup competition.
Veteran industry crew chief Jason Houghtaling will call the shots for the No. 15 CorvetteParts.net / Keen Parts Ford Mustang. Additionally, Lilly Trucking and Carport Empire will serve as associate marketing partners this weekend.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back in a XFINITY Series car this weekend,” said Kvapil who plans to make his sixth career XFINITY Series start this weekend. “I appreciate the opportunity that Rick Ware and B.J. McLeod are giving me and with the support of CorvetteParts.net and Keen Parts, I’m hoping for a good solid run.”
