SONOMA, CA – Clint Bowyer had his race end early in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Sonoma on Sunday.
On Lap 5 of 110 in the Toyota/Save Mart 350, Bowyer's No. 15 HScott Motorsports Chevrolet had an electrical fire, forcing him to stop on the Sonoma road course in Turn 8.
"It had to be the ignition," said Bowyer.
"It was an electrical fire. Great start to the day."
Bowyer won this race in 2012 with the now defunct Michael Waltrip Racing in the No. 15 Toyota.
