David Ragan was second, followed by Ty Dillon, Brandon Jones, Justin Marks, Brennan Poole, Darrell Wallace, Jr., Joey Logano, Justin Allgaier and Aric Almirola.
Just 29 drivers were able to complete a lap during the session, which was cut short by lightning near the track.
