Larson's car failed post-race laser tech inspection. Penalties to the team, if any, will be announced later in the week.
Larson's regular crew chief, Chad Johnston, was already serving a one-race penalty after a P3 penalty for lug nut violations last weekend at Pocono.
Philip Surgen was serving as Larson's crew chief at Michigan this weekend.
