BRISTOL, TN -- Austin Dillon took advantage of 'NASCAR overtime', and had to hold off a charging Kyle Larson and many others to get the win in Friday night's NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, the Food City 300.
"We love these fans here at Bristol. Hopefully we can do it again tomorrow night. I love this place," said Dillon.
"We had a very interesting day," said second place finisher Justin Allgaier. "Hats off to this crew. We never gave up and rallied all night."
Larson showed his dissapointment after the race.
"It'll come someday," he said, referring to the fact that he will hopefully win at Bristol in his career. "Hopefully tomorrow [In the Sprint Cup Series race]."
Justin Allgaier finished second, followed by Larson, Elliott Sadler and Brendan Gaughan to round out the Top-5.
Jeremy Clements, Darrell Wallace Jr., Blake Koch, Brandon Jones and Corey LaJoie rounded out the Top-10.
Clements' 6th place finish ties the second best finish of his career, while LaJoie's 10th place effort was a career-best, and Koch's eighth place finish is a tie for his career-best finish.
Clements finished fourth at Talladega earlier this season.
The top-12 in driver standings did not change. Ross Chastain is in 13th, 15 points out, Dakoda Armstrong is 14th, 16 points out, followed by Clements in 15th, 22 points out.
Gray Gaulding finished 13th in his XFINITY Series debut.
