Hornish wins XFINITY pole at Mid-Ohio

LEXINGTON, OH — Sam Hornish, Jr. on Friday won the Coors Light pole for the Mid-Ohio 200 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with a speed of 96.374 MPH for his eighth pole in 113 NASCAR XFINITY Series races, his first pole and third top-10 start in 2016, and his second pole in three races at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

Owen Kelly will start second. The rest of the top 10 is Ryan Blaney, Elliott Sadler, Daniel Suarez, Erik Jones, Ty Dillon, Ryan Reed, Nelson Piquet, Jr., and Darrell Wallace, Jr.

The first round of qualifying was delayed slightly because of rain, but was able to be completed without any issues.
