Michael McDowell was fastest during opening NASCAR XFINITY Series practice at Road America with a speed of 108.847 MPH.

Owen Kelly was second, followed by Alex Tagliani, Justin Marks, Brendan Gaughan, Ty Dillon, Justin Allgaier, Darrell Wallace, Jr., Daniel Suarez, and JD Davsion.
