JOLIET, IL -- After a 20th place finish at Richmond International Raceway, NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) driver, JJ Yeley is set to rebound in the No. 44 Zachry Toyota at Chicagoland Speedway. To his credit, Yeley has two top-10 finishes at the 1.5-mile tri-oval. Having completed a total of 1,615 laps, this weekend will mark his 12th NXS race at the Joliet, IL based facility. Being a favored venue for the Phoenix native, Yeley is eager to strap into the Zachry Toyota for the Drive for Safety 300.
"Chicagoland Speedway is one of my favorite racetracks on the schedule," Yeley said. "It is one of the last semi-banked 1.5 mile racetracks left. It usually has multiple grooves to choose from even though turns one and two are distinctly different from turns three and four. I've always ran well at Chicagoland and look forward to doing the same this weekend in my Zachry Toyota."
Crew Chief Frank Kerr and the No. 44 Zachry team will unload chassis No. 1001 at Chicagoland.
