It was the race everybody waited for. The 1st elimination race in the 2015 Chase for the Sprint Cup. 12 drivers would have the chance to fight for the Championship after this race.
The Race started with a Joe Gibbs front row with Matt Kenseth on the Pole and Denny Hamlin starting 2nd.
But it didn't take a long time, until Kevin Harvick, who needed to win this race, took the lead from Kenseth away and started dominating the race.
At Lap 40, Nascar has thrown a competition Caution. On Pit Road, Jimmie Johnson and Denny Hamlin were caught for speeding and had to go to the back of the field.
Johnson fought his way back to 24th until he had an issue with his car and needed to go to the Garage. He fellt 36 Laps behind leader Kevin Harvick and the Driver of the 48, who looked save for the next Chase Round, was in trouble because he had no chance to gain Positions and Points.
But there was also another battle for the last Chase spot. Dale Earnhardt Jr and Jamie McMurray fought for the 12th Position in points. The Position in Points swapped really often between the #88 Car and the #1 Car.
After a hard race and Matt Kenseth, who tried to steel the win from Harvick after not heading to Pit Road on a Caution, Harvick won the race and advanced to the next round. Dale Earnhardt Jr finished 3rd (1 Position infront of Jamie McMurray) and also advanced to the next Round. The driver who lost at Dover was Jimmie Johnson. Everything went wrong for him and Dover and after a 42nd Place finish he felt out of the Chase and will finish the Season on 14th Place.
