Allmendinger leads Sprint Cup happy hour at Watkins Glen

WATKINS GLEN, NY — AJ Allmendinger on Friday led Sprint Cup happy hour at Watkins Glen with a speed of 127.551 MPH.

Martin Truex Jr. was second, followed by Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth 127.280

Kyle Larson spun off turn 1, but no damage and drove on.

David Ragan spun off track and smacked the wall, doing some damage to the drivers side of the car.

Allmendinger's car started smoking late in the session, ended up being a loose oil line.

Qualifying is Saturday, August 6th at 12:15pm ET, will air live in CNBC and via radio at MRN and SiriusXM.
