NEWTON, Iowa – Ross Chastain posted another top-20 finish in Saturday’s U.S. Cellular 250 Xfinity Series race at Iowa Speedway.
After starting 12th, his best starting-grid position of the season, Chastain rolled home 18th, his 11th top-20 finish in 19 races this year.
“We had a strong car,” Chastain said. “We dropped back further than I had hoped, but still a pretty good day.”
Chastain finished 14th in the first Xfinity race of the season at Iowa last month.
Chastian is 14th in Xfinity driver points.
Erik Jones won Saturday’s race, and Elliott Sadler moved into the point lead.
The series moves on to Watkins Glen International in New York for an Aug. 6 race.
