John Hunter Nemechek won Sunday's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in overtime, leading 19 laps out of an eventual race total 66.
This is the NEMCO Motorsports driver's second win of 2016 and his first at the Canada track. It is the 19-year-old's third career win in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
Cole Custer finished second at the road course.
On the final lap Custer and Nemechek battled side-by-side, eventually taking their trucks off the course and into the dirt. The race's winner wasn't announced until minutes after the checkered flag fell. Before Nemechek was announced the winner, the No. 8 driver went to grab the checkered flag, but was interupted by Custer tackling him. The two were separated quickly.
Daniel Hemric, Matt Crafton and Christopher Bell rounded out the top-five finishers at the road course.
Ben Rhodes brought out the race's first caution when his No. 41 spun and got into a tire barrier on Lap 8. Rhodes finished 30th, tying with his worst finish of the year (Bristol).
Series points leader William Byron finished 10th.
The Camping World Truck Series returns to racing on Friday, Sept. 16 at 8:30 p.m. ET for the American Ethanol E15 225 at Chicagoland Speedway (FS1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio). This will be the final race before the Chase field of eight is set.
