UNB! NETWORK TESTING REPORT
Homestead, Florida--- Rain interrupted much of this past Wednesday's testing at Homestead-Miami Speedway. NASCAR extended the test until 10:00pm. Teams ended up with approximately 3 hours of on-track time. The driver with the fastest speed was Denny Hamlin at 176.696mph, then Ryan Blaney with 176.206, and Kevin Harvick with 176.062mph.
Four drivers participated in a Goodyear tire test at the 1.5-mile South Florida track Monday and Tuesday with an open test that was scheduled for Wednesday -- NASCAR allowing each Sprint Cup Series team to be represented by one car. Trevor Bayne (Roush Fenway Racing), Clint Bowyer ( Michael Waltrip Racing), Ryan Newman (Richard Childress Racing) and Kyle Larson (Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates) were scheduled for the Monday and Tuesday Goodyear tests.
One team from each organization in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series was slated to test at Homestead this past Wednesday. Testing was supposed to run from 9:00am ET to 5:00pm ET, but the rain forced NASCAR to change those times.
